Our Story
Inside an 1851 Kingston landmark.
Cafe Le Matin sits inside LaSalle Mews — the Georgian limestone row designed by city hall architect George Browne and standing on Princess Street since 1851. It's family-run: the same people work the counter, bus the tables, and cook in the back. All-day breakfast, the same hot poached eggs and bottomless coffee year after year. TripAdvisor calls it a hidden gem; regulars just call it morning.
What people say
A hidden gem on Princess Street.
“A traditional poached eggs with sausage, home fries, toast and coffee is as good as anywhere in downtown.
“The food at Café le Matin is very good — tasty, hot when served, and there is plenty of food for the money you pay.
“This place is really a hidden gem in Kingston.
